The Gulf Research Center’s mission is to contribute information and knowledge relating to the Gulf by providing a comprehensive, independent, and credible platform for advanced research on GCC politics, economics, defense, security, environment, and social issues and their implications and relevance.
In each of its research programs, it is the objective of the GRC and its extensive community of researchers and contributors to shed light on unexplored issues and relationships that are and will be of increased importance both for the Gulf region and the rest of the world.

Drawing on our network of experts and specialists, the GRC is able to provide consultancy services in a number of fields by conducting commissioned research studies on social sciences and economics within a Gulf context. GRC organizes high-level conferences, workshops, and roundtables that bring together experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss critical issues affecting the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and its relationships with other regions. These events cover political and security issues, economic cooperation, energy, and social and cultural ties. GRC aims to foster dialogue, enhance understanding, and influence policy in the Gulf and beyond through these activities.
The GRC’s flagship event is its academic conference, the Gulf Research Meeting (GRM), held annually at the University of Cambridge, UK.
