Abstract: This book consists of a collection of seven papers which discuss the mandates and the trusteeship systems as they emerged and developed under the League of Nations and the United Nations. The analysis focuses on various themes, including: international status of the selected case studies of the mandates and trusteeships and their administration by the mandatory power.
