Dr. Omar Moufakkir
Dr. Omar did his undergraduate and graduate studies in France, the Netherlands, and received a Ph.D. from Michigan State University, USA, in Park, Recreation and Tourism Resources Marketing and Management. He worked in the US, the Netherlands, France, and is currently affiliated with the Gulf University for Science and Technology in Kuwait. He has served as course leader, tourism research director, head of department, and dean of research and continuing education. He has published in the highest ranked journals in tourism and hospitality, including Annal of Tourism Research, Tourism Management, Tourism Geographies, and Tourism Recreation Research. His research interest is in the social-psychology of tourism and hospitality.
